Pack Your Tent is a guide-and-gear site for people who spend their weekends outside in the US and Canada — hiking, biking, mountaineering, and sightseeing. We write destination guides, trail reports, itineraries, and field-tested gear reviews.

- Itineraries — 3, 5, and 7-day plans with day-by-day breakdowns.
- Gear — reviews and category round-ups; every review declares whether we've personally tested the gear.

How we review gear
Every gear review is clearly marked as either Tested (we've used the gear in real conditions and the page names the tester) or Research-based (we haven't used it, and we say so on the page). We don't pretend to have tested gear we haven't. Full methodology is on our editorial standards page.
