This policy describes what information Pack Your Tent (“we”) collects when you visit packyourtent.com, how we use it, and your choices.

Information we collect

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage. This is subject to your consent and fires in “denied-by-default” mode until you opt in.
Advertising. We serve ads via Google AdSense (and in time, other premium networks). Ad personalisation uses cookies and is controlled by the same consent banner.
Affiliate clicks. When you click an affiliate link, we log the click, referring page, a daily-rotated hash of your IP and user-agent, and the destination network. We do not store your raw IP.
Email (optional). If you email us we keep the email to respond to you.

How we use it

To understand how readers use the site and improve it.
To measure which pages and recommendations convert, so we can invest in what's useful.
To pay our hosting and writers through ad revenue.

Third parties

We share information with processors we've contracted — Google (analytics, AdSense), Cloudflare (CDN), Supabase (database), Sentry (error monitoring) — only as needed to run the site. Affiliate clicks are passed to the retailer you click through to subject to their privacy policies.
