Camping at Plansee in Tyrol
Plansee, a mountain lake in the Austrian Alps, is perfect for camping. It is surrounded by mountains and forests, offering a peaceful retreat with hiking and swimming.
Camping Site Sennalpe
The Camping Sennalpe, located in the north-east of Germany and close to the Plansee Lake, offers mobile home owners spacious spaces all year long. Directly adjacent to the campsite is a large lawn for sunbathing with direct access to the lake and bathing beach. The campsite has a beach buffet called ‘Seeblick where you can eat or buy supplies.
A ping-pong table and a playground are also available for children. You can relax in the sauna, and in the winter, you can enjoy an ice bath at the Plansee.
Camping Site Seespitz
The Seespitz campground is located on the western side of the Plansee. You can also enjoy a direct view of the lake from your camper. The campsite has a large lawn for sunbathing that is free to use, and a play area for children.
You will find modern washrooms and sanitary facilities, as well as a sauna for relaxation.
You can buy fresh essentials like bread, milk, and butter at the Seespitzkiosk, as well as a variety of dishes, such as pizza or goulash, as well as snacks and drinks.

Plansee Offers Book Pitches
When booking a pitch on the Sennalpe and Seespitz campground, you have three options, each with a different location.

Camping Sennalpe and Camping Seespitz Prices
Prices for both campsites are identical. Adults pay 10 euros per night. You will pay 7 Euros per night if you travel with children aged between 4 and 14. You will pay 9 euros extra per night if your dog comes with you on your camping trip. The pitch is priced between 14 and 18.50 euros, and the flat rate for electricity is 5 euros.
In high season, you can rent a pitch for at least five nights. In July and August, it’s best to book in advance.

Plansee
The Plansee in Austria is a large, mountainous lake. The lake is situated in Reutte and belongs to Breitenwang. The lake is a part of the nature preserve ‘Ammergebirge- Ettaler Forst, and is situated in a beautiful mountainous environment.
It is known for its clear water and its beautiful landscape. The lake is 2.8 km long, 970 m wide and has a maximum depth of 78 m. It is fed by glaciers in the mountains surrounding it, and the water is of high quality. Lake Heiterwanger is its southern border and drains to Lake Plansee through the Archbach stream.
Swimming in Plansee and the access to water
Many public beaches near the lake offer access to the water. You will find public toilets and changing rooms, as well as sun loungers or parasols.

You can still reach the Linderhof Castle by camper if you are a little farther away. It is located about 30 minutes from Plansee, and it is one of the most magnificent royal residences that King Ludwig II built in Bavaria. The castle is surrounded by beautiful landscapes and gardens, and its interior and architecture are impressive.
Climbing
The Kletterwald Bichelbach can be reached from the Plansee Lake. Between July and September, the Kletterwald offers a fun-filled day for all members of your family. Six different courses with varying levels of difficulty are available, as well as 60 different climbing elements.
